No the #BIGemoiton is not cereal…I’m referring to people…Frosted Flakes…ya know white boys 👀
HAHAHA JUST KIDDING!!! 😂😂😂
I am talking about something a little different.
I am talking about the person that promises to go running with you every weekend but they always have a “meeting” or are *cough cough*sick
That person that says they will get their portion of the project to you by 5pm Wednesday and 7am Friday they are sending you crying emoji faces saying they will have it to you no later then Sunday night
I’m not going to lie to you and act like I’m the most consistent person in the world…I mean I cancel occasionally because I like to be invited places even though I already know I’m not going…😬 (read my logic behind that here)
So everyone can suffer from frosted flakiness at times…
And as long as you say your sorry its okay….right…
A friend of mine recently made this fabulous post talking about how she has turned her “I’m sorry’s” into “thank you’s” !
Ex: I’m sorry for running behind! = Thank you for waiting for me!
I honestly think thats a great mantra for all the flaky guys and gals out there! I feel like when we begin to show more gratitude towards the people that put up with our shenanigans we just might begin to change our ways.
Thats the thing with gratefulness. It changes you.
The more grateful you become the more respectful you become. Think about it when someone buys you a gift and you really love that gift…you cherish it…you are grateful for it…you make sure that nothing happens to it…you treat it with more respect.
When you begin expressing your gratitude towards others, you will naturally being to treat them better…with more respect and hopefully flake on them less!
Being flaked on can be so disappointing and no one really wants to disappoint the people they appreciate in life…right?!
Its time for the BIG QUESTION
How does one stop being flaky?!
- Start taking ownership of your actions
- Stop thinking a crying emoji 😭😭😭 and an “I’M SOOO SORRY!” is going to make up for not keeping your word
- Start being more realistic with yourself and others around you. If you feel like you can’t give someone what they are asking for be upfront and honest rather then flaky and shady after the fact.
sooo i feel condemned by my own self lol we can get through this together
And that is why flakiness is our second #BIGemotions because even though it is something that happens frequently it can stir up a lot of feelings within us.
Now all my flaky people put your hands up!!! 🙌🏼
JK PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN!!! 😂
But if you are brave enough to admit you have been flaky in the past and are committing to change your ways, comment below what you plan on doing to try and stop the nonsense! Or if you are constantly flaked on (literally sounds so gross lol) comment why you think that is?! Or if you just want to say hi thats cool too! I love hearing from ya!
In the mean time thank you so much for reading! I am so grateful for you! You are why I do this! As always breaking comfort zones and rising to the occasion.
